Hey Clubbies,

Last week I told you about Victory Monday, the glorious morning after the Browns beat the Titans in Nashville, when my trip record finally ticked up and I was riding high on getting the Club Soda Club app submitted to the App Store.

This week I get to tell you about the other side of the coin, which in Cleveland has its own name.

The other kind of Monday

The local radio guys call it Therapy Monday. When the whole city calls in AM show to work through its feelings together, and if you've been a fan for any length of time you know it's a very familiar ritual.

This week was a Therapy Monday, and a pretty long session at that, since losing 27-6 to Pittsburgh is about the worst way a Browns fan can spend a Sunday afternoon.

A weekend double whammy

As if on cue, Apple joined the conversation that same weekend and sent back a rejection on the app, so it was a full-on double whammy. I'll be honest that it stung for a couple of hours, because you build something for months and you want the first answer to be yes.

But the note was specific, the team had a plan almost right away, and within a couple of days the fixes were done and the app was back in the queue. Looking back, it was less of a setback and more of a to-do list item.

Oct 31st - This fit would’ve hit harder with the app in store

Walking it off

The one silver lining is that whenever my head needs a reset, I go for a walk, and last week I walked a lot.

That habit really kicked in back in September, when I tagged along for part of Scott Nixon's 100,000-step day around downtown Cleveland and walked away with 50,000 of my own.

My goal for 2026 has been to average 20,000 steps a day for the whole year, and that big week left me just a few steps shy of it with 56 days to go.

All I need now is a few monster days each week, and I'll keep you posted on the scoreboard, which I expect to have a better finish than the Browns' season.

Final thoughts

What strikes me most is how two weeks only a few days apart can feel so completely opposite, and how normal that actually is. Life hands you a Victory Monday, and then it hands you a Therapy Monday, and the trick is just to roll with both without making either one bigger than it is.

The Browns will win again, the app will get approved, and none of it changes who I am on Tuesday morning. I'm grateful I get to take the highs and the lows with a clear head, because it turns out small stuff stays small when you're seeing it clearly.

Your turn

So here's my question for you this week: what's your go-to reset when a week goes sideways? Hit reply and tell me.

Episode #47 - Tessa

Tessa has been part of the Club Soda Club for four years. In this episode, she talks about the hospital stay that changed everything, the relationships she rebuilt, getting engaged, and having a savings account for the first time in her life. She’s still bartending — and explains why being around it every day actually helps.
